Call for Abstracts: “Studying, Measuring and Altering Consciousness”

We invite you to submit abstracts for presentation at the “LUMINOUS Open Workshop”.

The workshop covers the following topics and your abstract must be assigned to one of them.

  • Fundamental aspects, including theories of consciousness
  • Neurobiological mechanisms and correlates of consciousness
  • Models, simulations and emulation of consciousness
  • Clinical, ethical and societal implications of consciousness research
  • Techniques for consciousness alteration

Presentation type: Flash Talk and ePoster presentation

Submission deadline: October 15th, 2019

Abstract text: 500 words maximum. This does not include the abstract title, authors and their affiliations and references. One figure or table can be optionally included.

Abstracts must be submitted to the following email: workshop.luminous@starlab.es. Each abstract must include a correct description of objectives, material and methods, results and conclusions, so that the Programme Committee of the Conference can make a correct review.

A maximum of 2 abstracts can be submitted by the same first author.

All abstracts should be submitted and presented in English. Use clear language, avoiding complex characters or formulas difficult to understand.

Authors will be notified about the acceptance by October 18th, 2019. For accepted abstracts, the presenting author must register and pay the registration fee before October 22nd, 2019, in order to have the abstracts included in the final programme.
